We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daniel Jude. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daniel below.

Daniel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?

I have 3 meaningful projects that I’d like to highlight!

One would be the 1st time I performed in NYC during fashion week for Potro’s fashion runway show. I had to prepare 2 original tracks to be perfectly timed with the fashion presentation. I definitely grew as an artist playing in front of a sold out Sony Hall.

Next would be the time I was approached by a mother to finish producing a song for her son who passed before he had the chance to finish the song himself. He was a 16 year old aspiring hip hop artist. The entire project was extremely emotional and loads of pressure to make sure the song was good enough. Finishing the track was spiritually rewarding. His whole family was so greatly appreciative of me bringing his song to life. Something they could hold onto forever.

Lastly, during covid it was pretty rough for artists out there. Nowhere to perform live so essentially all networking had to occur online. I was in need of creating/producing for new artists so I scoured the internet reaching out to hundreds of independent artist that I felt had great potential and would benefit from my producing skills. Finally, a young dude named Eddie Tamanini took a chance with me. Great singer/songwriter. He already had a producer that he worked with, but I knew I could enhance his music much more. He ended up loving the work I did on one of his tracks, I ended up producing/mixing his entire album. Since then we’ve worked on tons of tracks for his albums, live shows, you name it! Lifelong friend for sure.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am a creator down to my core. I find great reward in helping someone else bring their visions to life and seeing others enjoy works that I have created. I’m a musician first and foremost plus a professional videographer as a close second.

One thing that I have learned over the years in my ability to really understand a client and understand the direction they would like to take their project. I love speaking to an artist or client to really understanding their ideas/projects on a practical level & emotional level. As for what sets my music apart, I love to write songs that paint a picture and bring you somewhere. Plus I try to be the most genuine version of myself through my word choice and the stories that I tell.

To clarify my specialties I am a singer, songwriter, multi instrument musician, music producer, mixing engineer, videographer, and photographer. Lots of creating!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

So being an artist & entrepreneur isn’t easy. Any goal that you want to achieve has to be done by your sheer willpower alone. Nothing will be handed to you. I’ve faced challenges of rejection, self doubt, waiting, amongst other things. In 2023 I was diagnosed with cancer while simultaneously dealing with a separation from my then fiancé which left me navigating being a single father. Moments like that could have made me shut down & give up. I chose to use my troubles as a source of inspiration to keep going and keep creating. All with the hopes that I could inspire someone else who is dealing with similar situations.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

The best thing you can do to support the arts is to get off your streaming platforms, tiktok, instagram (just for a bit haha) and get out there to live shows, art festivals, etc. Real artists and up and coming talent are going to be the people playing at your local clubs, or playing for tips at a bar, or showing their work for a small art fest. Supporting those people will only lead to a flourishing creative environment where creators are encouraged to keep creating.
